Nepean Museum and the Camera Club of Ottawa are proud to announce the opening of the photography exhibition, ‘Then and Now: Nepean’s Changing Landscape’. The exhibit opens on July 8th at The Atrium Gallery located at Ben Franklin Place, 101 Centrepointe Drive, Nepean.

“Nepean Museum is thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with the Camera Club of Ottawa. The Museum holds a wealth of images depicting Nepean’s historic landscape.  Club members revisited these historic locations to photograph them in their present state. The resulting images provide a captivating visual comparison of a changing Nepean,” explains Rachel Perkins, Director / Curator at Nepean Museum.

Scott Smith, Past President of the Camera Club of Ottawa, was “…confident that there [would] be a wonderful response from our membership...” Nine photographers sought out the locations displayed in the Museum’s photographs. The result is a series of ‘Then and Now’ images that document just how much change has occurred in the community of Nepean.

The Atrium Gallery hours are Monday to Thursday: 8:30 am to 9 pm, Friday: 8:30 am to 6 pm and Saturday: 10 am to 5 pm. 'Then and Now: Nepean's Changing Landscape' runs until July 27th.
