All Saints Anglican Church (Westboro)

The original church was built in 1865. It was decided in 1932 that a new building would be needed to accomodate the growing number of worshippers, however, this building was not constructed until 1953. The two buildings are connected and the original part of the church is now called the "Chapel of the Holy Spirit" (Reed).

Merivale United Church

The Merivale United Church was built in 1876, replacing a log chapel that was torn down the year before. The log chapel had been built in 1842 on land donated by William Hopper (part of lot 27, concession 1), and had served both the Anglicans and Presbyterians until the United Church was formed.

St. John's Anglican Church

The St. John's Anglican Church was built in 1873 on the same land as the Merivale United Church (lot 27, concession 1). It burned down in 1897 and was rebuilt. The church was remodeled in the 1930's and demolished in 1968.

City View United Church

In 1866, there was a Methodist and a Wesleyan chapel in the City View area. The congregations united and decided to move to a new location. A church was erected in 1872 (lot 34, concession 1) however, it burned down and a new building had to be constructed.

Bell's Corners United Church

In 1853, the "Union Church" was built on land donated by Hugh Bell (part of lot 35, concession 1). The church served as a place of worship for Anglicans, Methodists and Presbyterians alike. This church was one of the few buildings that survived the fires in the area in 1870, and served as a refuge for those whose homes had been devastated by the fire. The Union Church was torn down in 1898 and a new church was built. This church was called the Drummond Presbyterian Church until 1925 when it was changed to the United Church. The Chruch decided in 1958 that a new building was needed, and upon their move in 1962, the old church was abandoned.

Fallowfield Churches

All three of these Fallowfield churches were built on lot 21, concession 5 (known as Piety Hill). The only church that remains standing today is the Fallowfield United Church (formerly Fallowfield Methodist Church), which was built in 1886. St. John's Presbyterian Church was built in 1886 and unionized with the Methodists in 1925 when the United Church was formed. St. Barnabas Anglican church was built in 1889 and both St.Barnabas and St. John's were demolished in the 1940's.

St.Patrick's Church

In 1834, two acres of land on lot 23, concession 5 was purchased from Thomas O'Meara for the site of a new church. A small log chapel, the "Mission of Nepean", had been built the year before but was clearly too small to accomodate the number of people using the chapel. Plans were made for a new church, however, construction did not begin until 1864. The new church, St. Patrick's, was opened in 1866 and remains open today.
